  UrinaryBladder is a storage organ for urine which is muscular and hollow in nature. It has a nature to expand until its full which then signals the brain through the pelvic nerves to urinate. Interstitial Cystitis is defined to be a chronic condition which will cause bladder pressure, bladder pain and in many cases pelvic pain. Based on the cause it can be a mild discomfort to severe pain. This disease is characterized under spectrum of Painful bladder syndrome. In this case the signals of the urinary bladder gets mixed up and the brain urges to urinate more frequently. The Exact underlying cause of Interstitial Cystitis is not known but the most common cause is the defect in the protective layering of the bladder.
